Because you would be missing out on too much if you did not! The numbers resulted from studies have shown that tapping on the screen of the smartphone is just as addictive as the gesture of smoking.

People do it even when they do not necessarily have something in particular to look for. So do you not want the name and services/products of your company on that little gadget that draws so much of consumer attention nowadays?

The numbers show that there is nothing people like to do more than update their profile, check up on other people and search for restaurants, travel advisors, information and reviews on clubs and bars, how to book a movie or theater ticket, etc. There are a great number of things you can plan ahead for and nothing is more accessible than the personal phone with the right apps.

There is practically an app for everything and anything can become an app if the right company gets a good idea. The most popular apps are still the games which have also caught a head start at the beginning of the smartphone craze era and have not yet been taken down. Social networks come in second, with people’s constant need of sharing information and finding out more about what their friends are currently doing.

News and entertainment apps occupy the rest of the time of consumers, whereas the other categories represent choices too personal for a correct data collection: some people use taxi apps while others have apps from online grocery stores. Either way, everybody likes to have an order ready at the tap of a finger, between playing a Youtube video and liking a Facebook picture.
