Our favorite apps built with Appscend in 2012

Appscend

appscend appsJust like wandering in a train station, waiting for a train that’s going to take you God knows where, we take a look back at the city we’re about to leave behind. We take stock of the things we did, the mountains we climbed, what we saw, what we accomplished and even when we fell.

And yes, we’re in that nostalgic mood when we think about last year. So we’ve thought we’d share with you some of our favorite apps that we built in 2012.

So let’s reminisce a little and see what came out of that coding creating lump of a brain of ours.

Rhodes on mobile

appscend appsThis neat little app lets anyone become his own travel agent, tour guide, transport map, history teacher and wedding planner…wait, what? Yeah we actually have a feature when you can check up what weddings are planned while you’re on the island and get to see the beginning (or end) of a young couple’s life in the pittoresque and romantic scenery of the Aegean sunset.

The app pretty much takes care of all your needs while you’re on the island. From finding activities, instructional videos, greek lessons, map, shopping, rentals, attractions, history of the island, churches, gas stations, ATM’s, photo gallery, promotions, restaurants, travel agencies, cities and villages, restaurants and everything we could come up with that will make your stay on the island an memorable and fun experience.

By the way, did you know there’s a castle on the island that’s never been conquered since it was built in 1480?

We’re quite proud of the app since it’s an all-in-one-maximizing the fun and relaxation app. And best of all, it’s free and we’ve made for both Android and iOS.

Infograpp

appscend apps

Or another way of saying: ,,The first infograph innovatively build into an app”.

Browsing for mobile data on the web is a b** and please trust us on that. So we’ve thought to create a way to quickly find out what’s been going on in the mobile industry without scrolling through tons of useless information.

Infographs are always nice because they condense otherwise bucket loads of information in a fun experience and they’re easy to learn. Such as there are 1 bn people using smartphones at the moment. And all of this from no smartphones in 2007.

Infograpp features a nice trait, and that’s the ability to find out the major changes since those brick-heavy-punch-a-hole-in-a-tank mobile phones in 1985 to the sleek and lightweight designs of mobile phones today.

With this app, we’ve thought to start changing how info can be learned in a easy to use mobile app, completed with a quick quiz and answer feature.

So if you want to become a mobile software knowledge guru while you drink your morning coffee, you can download the app for free right here.

Schach News

It’s pretty much what the title entails. All you need to know about chess, players, history, books, famous games, lessons and how to beat other people while they think they’re playing against a german player.

The game is in german and english but who’s deterred by an app in german? It’s easy to navigate and besides, chess knows no language.

Just like Tevis said, ,,When in doubt…play Chess!” . And now you can do it on iPads or iPhones and Android. The app is free if you’re ready to flex your chess muscles. Your move.

VN Rezepte

Everybody has to eat and this app gives you the tools to create the tastiest dishes you can imagine. The app is in german, but we’re going to reiterate the immortal connection between chess and food. They know no bounds, no borders and no languages.

Besides learning recipes, you can easily purchase ingredients and cooking utensils to add into a shopping cart.

It features every recipe for any type of cooking preferences, from vegetarian dishes, grills, salads, cakes and pretty much everything you can think of to turn you into a master chef.

And yes, it’s free, both for Android and iOS.

BMW Motor AG

If you’re already a BMW customer, the application features a one tap contact point if you’re looking to service your car or getting in touch with BMW specialists.

Other features include : downloading product catalogs, sending a Buy Back request for your current vehicle, BMW events, promotions, car model included in the BMW Premium Selection program and many more.

The application is in Romanian, available on iOS, it’s free and is dedicated to support BMW clients to have the best ownership experience as possible.
