As a mobile dev you’re going to build a mobile app anyway. Why not do it in style and go to Barcelona while you’re at it? The Mobile World Congress (25-28 february 2013) is the biggest, greatest and coolest event of the year in the mobile world.
To this end we thought we would hold a contest (or challenge if you prefer), in which you’ll develop a native app and win / earn a ticket to the crème de la crème happening of the mobile year.
Basically you have to build a multiplatform native mobile app using our markup languange – Ignite Markup . Ignite Markup is just simple XML, but you’ll soon see that it gives you the freedom to create custom, rich mobile experiences in virtually no time. You can use any programming language to create IgniteMarkup files that define how your app looks and behaves. So you can put your skills to the test in the code of your choice.
And if you’re a PHP connoisseur, we also offer an open-source MVC PHP framework for creating mobile apps: DolphinPHP. And there you have it . We offer you the tools , you leverage your existing programming skills and build an app that’s going to take you to Barcelona.
